During the 15th anniversary of Gran Turismo Event today in Silverstone, UK, the mind behind Gran Turismo Kazunori Yamauchi confirmed the game will be released this Holiday for PS3. Gran Turismo 6 will carry over 1000+ cars and 25+ locations found in GT5, and will add over 200 brand new rides, 7 locales and 19 track layouts to the game’s impressive roster. EA DICE’s Frostbite Engine is no longer just for PC and consoles anymore. An update to the official Frostbite site has revealed the existence of Frostbite Go. Its a Frostbite engine optimized for mobiles and its designed to “…bring true Frostbite experiences to all major mobile platforms.” Back in 2006 DICE created the Frostbite engine and first used it for Battlefield: Bad Company in 2008. Since then the Frostbite engine has been re-built from the ground up for the next-generation of games like Battlefield 4.
